We are currently looking to fill the following positions:

Splendid Chocolates - Line Supervisor

Description:

The Line Supervisor is responsible from start to finish of production line process. This includes planning, organizing and managing the effective utilization of people, materials, and manufacturing processes to meet production schedule, quality, inventory, line speed, delivery objectives, cleanliness and safety.

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervises and directs hourly employees in production and packaging of products to meet established productivity targets and when missing these targets to develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Train and monitor staff to maximize performance on production line
• Producing quality products that meet established quality goals
• Perform pre-production check to ensure equipment and line is ready for production
• Complete paperwork and forms for production and quality
  
• Use only required levels of inventory and develop and implement corrective action plans when required
  
• Perform continuous improvement activities aimed at improving efficiency, quality, costs and safety
  
• Identify potential problem areas in terms of equipment or process that could potentially delay delivery times in a timely manner so that they can be corrected to ensure deadlines are met
  
• Implements company strategies and process change at the operational level of the organization
  
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to and enforcing quality and safety programs, policies and regulations
  
• Prepare for production for next day before leaving
  
• Monitor production schedule for changes
  
• Assist other Line Supervisors or unsupervised lines when required
  
• Monitor and aid in preparation when assigned products must be completed in another shift supervised by other Line Supervisors
  
• Ensure that transition to next shift is complete before leaving
  
• Be available to work either day or evening shift and weekends in high season with prior notice (1 week)

Skills/Qualifications:

• 2-5 years experience in manufacturing
  
• Previous supervision and leadership experience is an asset
  
• Cross-functional experience (Quality, Materials, etc…) will be considered an asset
  
• Experience participating and leading Continuous Improvement activities is considered an asset
